Fault finding done properly
Intermittent faults are the ones that cost people money, because it is tempting to just replace parts until the symptom goes away. We test to find the actual cause first. That is usually the cheaper path even though it does not feel like it at the time.
New work and additions
Adding a room, putting in a workshop, running power to a shed, or finally getting a power point where you have needed one for five years - all standard work. If it needs a new circuit from the board we will tell you, and if your board has no room left we will tell you that too rather than cramming it in.
Rural and larger properties
Blocks around Mildura come with their own problems - long runs, shed supplies, pumps, and gear that was added over decades by whoever was available. We work on rural properties regularly and are used to sorting out what is actually there before adding to it.
Questions people actually ask
Do you charge a call-out fee?
Straight answer: it depends on the job and how far out you are. Tell us what is happening and we will give you the number on the phone before we come out - it never appears for the first time on the invoice. Quotes for new work are free.
Can I just replace a power point myself?
No. In Victoria it is illegal for an unlicensed person to carry out electrical installation work, and that includes replacing a socket or a light switch. It is also the kind of job that looks simple right up until it is not. Call someone licensed.
Do you do full house rewires?
Yes, including staged rewires on occupied houses where we do it section by section so you are not without power for days.
Can you put in downlights and LED upgrades?
Yes. Swapping old halogens for LED is one of the quickest ways to cut a lighting bill and remove a genuine fire risk in the ceiling at the same time.
